As a financial advisor, Greg Shoemaker is committed to doing what’s best for his clients. In fact, his passion for providing objective guidance, transparent fees and independent advice motivated him to leave the national brokerage firm he worked for and establish Cornerstone Wealth Management in 2005. He realized that he wanted to serve clients in a way that better aligned with his personal values.

Today, Greg serves as CEO of Cornerstone and focuses his time and energy on getting to know his clients, their needs, goals and wishes, so he can build a customized plan for their financial future. Greg works closely with his clients’ other professionals, such as CPAs and attorneys, to make sure his work integrates with other aspects of clients’ financial lives to provide comprehensive wealth management.

Greg sees his role as a coach, educating investors to help them shift their experience with money and investing from feeling uncertain to confident. Over the years, he has enjoyed developing deep relationships with clients and watching their financial confidence grow.

Originally from Quincy, Illinois, Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Illinois. He and his wife, Vicki, have three children, Adam, Brooke and Paige. When not cheering on his kids in their various sports and musical activities, Greg enjoys traveling, boating, tennis and reading.
