Jason Benson and his team at Thoroughbred Financial Solutions, joined LPL Financial December of 2017. Jason brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role as a financial advisor from his past work experience with Investment Centers of America, A.G. Edwards and Smith Barney. His diverse background and training enable him to help clients pursue their long-term financial goals through comprehensive, individualized financial planning.
A comprehensive, client-focused approach to financial planning ensures that the recommended programs encompass each client’s financial goals, time frames, and risk tolerance. Mr. Benson specializes in financial advisory for non-profits and foundations. He works closely with clients to develop customized financial strategies that incorporate asset allocation, financial management, retirement planning, college planning, and succession planning.
Helping people, whether it’s planning for retirement or college expenses, is truly Mr. Benson’s passion. In addition to developing a custom financial strategy for each client, he conducts regular meetings with clients to review performance, reconfirm financial goals, and make adjustments as economic or lifestyle conditions warrant.
Jason Benson currently holds Series 7 and 63 securities registrations with LPL Financial and his Series 65 with Cornerstone Wealth Management. In addition, he is licensed with the state of Oklahoma to offer long term care life insurance. Mr. Benson studied business at Cameron University for 2 years. He also is a chairman of the Monkey Island Fire Department board and a volunteer firefighter/EMT. Jason is happily married to his lovely wife, Amber. Away from the business, he enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.
