When choosing a career, John Wehmer followed his passions. As a personal financial advisor, he combines his love of numbers and finance with his desire to help others. He finds joy in learning about each client’s distinct situation, their short- and long-term goals, and then designing a comprehensive plan to help them pursue those aspirations. John knows that financial lives can be complex, but his straightforward approach helps clients gain clarity and understanding about their circumstances and decisions, so they can feel confident about their financial future.
Before joining Cornerstone Wealth Management in 2016, John spent several years at a national brokerage firm. He chose to become an independent advisor affiliated with LPL Financial because it offered a greater range of investment options, allowing John to better serve his clients’ best interests. This means his clients can expect objective guidance, transparent advice and fees, and clear communication.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, John holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and banking. John has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which includes extensive training that enhances his knowledge of financial planning opportunities so he can provide more comprehensive advice.
Originally from Florissant, Missouri, John has lived in Saint Charles since 2007. To give back to his community, he has served in various roles with the United Way, Saint Louis Zoo, Kiwanis and the Saint Charles Chamber of Commerce. At home, John enjoys spending time with his talented wife, Heather, and playing with their three wonderful children, Jackson, Lyla and Juliet.
