As a registered investment professional since 2001, Matt has always taken a common-sense approach to investing. He considers clients’ current situation and what they want to accomplish, but also how to manage risk if something unexpected comes up. He doesn’t consider financial plans to be written in stone, but something you adjust as life takes different turns.
Matt joined Cornerstone Wealth Management in 2013 because he wanted the freedom to be collaborative in his advice to clients, without pressure to sell certain products or hit quotas. As an independent advisor, he can provide guidance that’s in the best interest of his clients. His practice is centered on retirement planning and income distribution strategies for families and business owners, including life insurance, Social Security, and long-term care planning.
Along with holding life and health insurance licensing in several states, Matt holds the FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 registrations through LPL Financial, and Series 66 registration through both LPL Financial and Cornerstone Wealth Management. Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Missouri State University. He began his career with Edward Jones in 2001.
Matt and his wife, Jessica, have been married since 2001 and have three children. They live in Ballwin, Missouri, and are members of St. Joseph Manchester Catholic Church. Matt is an avid mountain biker, thanks to his son’s interest in the sport, and he enjoys cheering his kids on at their athletic and performing arts events. You might also find him skiing, playing softball, traveling, and taking in a Cardinals or Blues game.
